Sweet brome, scientifically known as Bromus carinatus, is a significant species within the expansive Poaceae family. First documented in “Bot. Beechey Voy.: 403” in 1840 by the notable botanists Hooker and Arnott, this perennial grass has since been observed across a broad geographical range, extending from the cold climates of the Yukon down through Central America and reaching as far south as Venezuela and Peru.
